THE ORIGIN OF THE PAHL PEACE PRIZE
This prize will be awarded to outstanding individuals who have considerably and actively contributed to world peace. The prize was granted for the first time in the year 2021 in the Principality of Liechtenstein.
THE AWARD FOR THE COMMITMENT TO PEACE
The Pahl Peace Prize 2025 was awarded to Daniel Barenboim in recognition of his tireless efforts to promote dialogue and understanding through the universal language of music. Through his artistic and humanitarian commitment, Daniel Barenboim has worked for decades to build bridges across cultural, political and human divides. His work stands for the conviction that music can open spaces for encounter, dignity and peace, even where conflict and division seem overwhelming.
